pastors philip & Kelly pimlott

Lead Pastors

Philip grew up in Norwich, England, in a family of pastors. From an early age, he felt a calling to follow in the footsteps of his dad, uncles and grandfather and preach the Gospel. In 1991, he moved to Baton Rouge to attend Jimmy Swaggart Bible College.  After graduation, he served with Jimmy Swaggart Ministries for several years before planting a church in 2003, now known as Encounter Church.

Our Missions

19 Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20 Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

MATTHEW 28:19-20 (NLT)

Trevor and Jennifer are newly commissioned missionaries with Cadence International. Cadence International is an evangelical missionary organization that shares the gospel of Jesus Christ with military members and their families around the world. They are currently stationed in Germany, but will be transitioning back to the States soon.

(NOTE:  For their personal safety and the protection of their work, names and locations must remain anonymous.)  C & A and their two children are on a remote island in Southeast Asia where they are working to plant a church for an unreached people group with no Scriptures translated into their native language. Besides planting a church and sharing the Good News of the Gospel, they are in the beginning stages of translating the Bible into the local native dialect. At great personal risk, this missionary family is committed to seeing a healthy church planted and the Bible fully translated -- regardless how long it takes.
